What is a consumer test ?
A consumer test is a test carried out by volunteer consumers who agree to try a cosmetic product (cream, shower gel, make-up, shampoo, etc.) at home, under their usual conditions of use.
Why carry out consumer tests ?
Your opinion really matters ! The aim is to find out whether you like the product, whether it is pleasant to use, whether it is effective, whether it meets your expectations, etc. Your feedback will help brands to better understand the user experience and to develop, improve or validate their product before it goes on sale.
How does a consumer test work ?
- You receive a product to test for free.
- You use it according to the instructions (duration, frequency, area of application, etc.).
- At the end of the study period, you fill out an online or paper questionnaire to give your opinion (texture, fragrance, effectiveness, comfort, tolerance, etc.).
What consumer testing involves :
- You are not a guinea pig: the products tested have already been evaluated for safety.
- There are no obligations: you can test the product at your leisure in your own home.
- Your participation is voluntary and you get to keep the product.
- All data collected is anonymous and used solely for analysis purposes.
