Who are we ?
After fifteen years of experience in various clinical and/or in vitro research laboratories, managing studies and assessing the safety of cosmetic products, Sandrine Fernandez embarked on her own venture into consulting and managing studies.
Now accompanied by Sofia Labarsouque (Member of the French Society of Toxicology), who spent over eight years as a safety assessor in a toxicology consulting firm, they are working together to implement consumer testing for their clients and conduct human health safety assessments, in partnership with PHYSIOTOX, represented by Eric Bloin, a toxicology expert.
BSI's missions
- Conduct a preliminary analysis of the formula to verify its compliance with the current European Cosmetic Regulation, including systemic risk. We provide regulatory monitoring.
- Advise and guide: tests to be planned based on the product formula, analyze and consider precautions for use and information to be included on the packaging.
- Conduct tolerance and/or efficacy studies (patch test, ocular tolerance, use test with or without efficacy measurement, comedogenic effect, hydration, HRIPT, phototoxicity, elbow crease, does not sting the eyes, etc., the list is not exhaustive).
- Consumer panel for marketing purposes.
- Support in drafting the PIF to enable its independent preparation.
- Human health safety assessment.
- Provide training on the various stages of implementing the European Cosmetic Regulation.
